How do I disconnect the ISP40 alarm? I want to unplug the unit but I don't want the alarm to go off eventually in a few weeks. Thank you!

Hello Mac123.
Sorry it took so long to get back to you. Please do not unplug your battery back up. If the alarm is bothering you, you may disconnect the poitive poll only. Your battery back up is there for more then one reason. If you should lose power of course, but also if there is a sudden large amount of water present, and the primary pump can not keep up, the battery back up pump will then come on to assist the primary. Many times both pumps may need to come on to keep the water levels at bay. If you have any more technical questions, you may call the office and ask them there as well. at 1-800-649-6140. I like to keep the alarm at the ready, so I know that the Battery back up pump is running, doing it's job. I do not find it to be an issue. I have heard however of a customer who's pumping station was located just benieth her bedroom. (ranch house). They staple gunned some foam to the ceilings in between the joists down in the basement, and that seemed to muffle things quite a bit. It may also work for you. Have you had a maintainence on your pumps recently? Perhaps one is due? Please, call our office to schedule that need be. I hope that tip helps. Lisa
