I have a relatively new house built 4 years ago. It's on a fairly steep grade on one of the old unfinished roads in Worcester. My neighbor's house was also built at the same time and he has the same problem only worse. The Problem: When it rains heavily my bathroom gets a small puddle around the toilet in my basement bathroom. For me it's roughly 1/2 to 3/4 of a gallon of water that comes in and seems to be getting worse with time. My neighbor's is already much worse. It's not coming through the waste line but from AROUND the waste line I think. We are tied into the town sewer and there are no storm drains on the street. I put a cap (almost like a small tent that allows full ventilation) on my waste vent tube in the roof to prevent rain from getting in to eliminate that from my list of possibilities. My guess is that I have a ground water problem.

What can be done? Sump pump? Who do I call?

I think your right, it does sound like a ground water problem. Call our office at 1-800-649-6140 and speak to Tina, she will schedule Craig Leader one of our Certified Waterproofing Professionals who happens to live in Worcester. He can give you a free written estimate of what we need to do to correct your problem. Thanks for visiting Pioneerbasement.com SteveA
