We are planning to have ThermalDry system installed in our basement. We recently had WaterGuard system installed.
I have been looking for some specifications for the ThermalDry system but have been unable to find any. So, some questions then:
1) What is the thickness of the finished ThermalDry floor system?
2) Does the ThermalDry floor run up to or under the finished walls. We currently have no walls in our basement, but we plan on finishing it, i.e. Framing walls and hanging sheetrock. The WaterGurad channel is up against the outside wall as far as possible and the wall is fieldstone.
3) If our finished walls will be on top of the ThermalDry floor what is the best way to attach the walls to the floor?
4) The last and most pressing question is about level. How level does the concrete floor under the ThermalDry need to be? Over a 20 ft span is a 1/4 OK, or 1 inch OK or ....?

Thanks for the help.

To answer your questions regarding Thermal Dry flooring: 1) The thickness of the Thermal Dry Flooring with 1/2" plywood is under 1". With carpet it would be appox. 1 1/4".
2 +3) Thermal Dry can be installed first with the 2 x4 walls placed on top. The bottom plate of the wall can be glued with Liquid Nail and/or screwed with 2" deck screws. It could also be installed after the walls are already up, by running it up to the walls.
4)Thermal Dry will be as level as your concrete floor. Usually it is fine to have some variations in level as with carpeting you will never really know.
I hope this helps, SteveA

Is there a local supplier for Thermal dry?

I am in the process of finishing a basement and intended to use Dri-core

We do not supply the product, we only install it.

And now, we do not even use the Thermal Dry Flooring system. We use Thermal Dry Matting. This system has no wood or organic fibers so it will never have issues with dampness or actual water.
