Had no water in basement since moving into home 6 years ago. House is about 22 years old. Within last month, had heavy rains and basement floor got soaked. Yesterday with the heavy rains, it happened again. Basement is finished and carpets got wet both times.
Have perimeter drains in area where water is entering. Gutters drain into some sort of catch basin that I believe is connected to perimeter drain. I need someone to check this and repair before next heavy downpour. Located in Bedford, NH.
Not sure what is happening.....How do you check to see if there are obstructions in the perimeter drain of if there are bigger problems?
