I have a condo that has a condensation problem during periods of high humidity. Someone put a rough scratch coat of cement, possibly some type of hydraulic cement, on the floor at some point in the past. The condensation is so severe that it is causing the rough coat to come loose. There is no mold or mildew that I can see at present, but I assume that's not too far down the road.
What can be done for a damp basement floor such as mine? I have a dehumidifier, but the condensation is essentially over the entire basement floor. Would a sump pump help this situation?
Any advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

This problem you are having is most likely due to condensation caused by high humidity. I would recommend that you order a "Condensation Puck" which is a way to test if your problem is condensation or ground water. The cost is $15.00 Call our office and we will send you one to do the test yourself. If the indicator strip turns red you will most likely be able to solve the problem with our SaniDry Basement Air System. (see movie on our website about the SaniDry.
