Certified Waterproofing Professionals?

What is a "certified" waterproofing professional? Is that a spin-off of the plumbing trade? If certified, who is the certifying authority? I'm researching some waterproofing companies, and just trying to feel my way around because I've heard there are some smaller companies that should be avoided, and I was advised to stick to the ones who have at least a 10-year track record of success and guarantee their work. Pioneer is on my list of 3 or 4, so I'm checking into some of the differences. I've only had water when the circumstances are pretty severe, like the spring of 2001, when we had a quick snow melt followed by some heavy rain. Still, I don't want to deal with it again, so I'm checking into it.

Pioneer Basement Systems has three National Association of Waterproofing & Structural Repair Specialists on staff. The NAWSRC is the only recognized Trade Association in the United States for both Waterproofing and Structural Repair Contractors.

Stephen Andras is a NAWSRC (CWS) Certified Waterproofing Specialist and is currently serving as the NAWSRC President.

Joe Tropeano and Tom Tropeano are both NAWSRC Certified Waterproofing Specialist.

Pioneer employs the following Certified Waterproofing Professionals which are certified by Basement Systems, Inc. 60 Silvermine Road, Seymour, CT. they are:

Pat Robertson, Leo Carney, Jr., Tom Tropeano, Joe Tropeano, Micah Andras, Tom McNally, Tony Pacheco, Joe Walsh.

Stephen Andras, the President and Founder of Pioneer Basement is also a Master Waterproofing Professional thru the Basement Systems Network and also a NAWSRC CSRS (Certified Structural Repair Specialist). He is also certified thru RamJack Foundation Repair Systems.

Tom McNally, Service Manager for Pioneer Basement is also a Licensed Master Plumber.
