After nine years in the house, a section of the floor/basement wall is leaking when it rains. There are no obvious cracks and I have never had a problem before. I finished the basement about 5 years ago and due to the leak, I had to tear down the wall inside and pull back the rug to dry it. I have dug a trench along the outside wall to reseal it, and add a footing drain, but the ground continues to seep water making a muddy mess at the footing preventing me from resealing (every Sealer I've seen says the wall should be dry). What can I do until the ground drys out as this Spring seems to be a wet one, or is there something I can use on a wet wall?
