craig, here is a quote re laminate from you in another post. what's up with that? I believe that I also read that anything other than tile can be put over the thermal dry tiles. mine are black btw.

"As for ThermalDry Matting, I always recommend that you finish the basement, then have us come out and measure for the areas you want to put carpet or laminate flooring."

There is generation one TD Matting that could accept carpet or laminate flooring. That has been discontinued because in some instance, we experience some cupping of the flooring.

Generation Two (gray) has a manufacturers recommendation of carpeting only. Sorry for any confusion.
