I HAVE A BASEMENT THAT GETS WET, FROM AROUND THE SIDES, WHERE THE FLOOR MEETS THE WALL, AFTER HEAVY RAIN, AND MOST OFTEN IN THE SPRING.
MY BUILDER SAID TO INSTALL A SUMP PUMP. WILL THIS SOLVE MY PROBLEMS ?

Dear Peter,
Installing a sump pump only most likely will not solve all of your problem. The builder should have put at least 6 inches of crushed stone under the floor, however a sump pump only won't always solve the problem of your basement leaking at the floor / wall joint. Sometimes the hydrostatic pressure will force the water up from this joint instead of allowing it to drain into the stone under the concrete slab. I would recommend that your have one of our certified reps look at your basement and make his professional recommendations. We do this for free Call Tina at 1-800-649-6140 or request an appointment via our website.
Hopes this helps, SteveA
