I want to finish my basement. I do not have any standing water, however, I do have a bad moldy smell and the basement always feels very damp. Do you have any ideas for me?

Dear Dee A ,

Many times the moisture in a basemnt is caused by high humidity and condensation. Mold and mildew are musty-smelling fungi that thrive in moist conditions. Even short periods of high humidity or condensation can cause mold and mildew to grow and release their health-affecting spores and mycotoxins.

I would recommend that you look into our SaniDry- Basement Air System which can correct moisture problems in your basement. I also would recommend that you request a free brochure right from our website and it will be sent out right away.

You may also request a free inspection of your basement from one of our Certified Waterproofing Professional who can measure the relative humidity in your basement and make recommendations before you finish off.

Hope this helps.
