We have a bolt-on bulkhead that was added to the basement foundation when the house was built. The house is about 8 years old and each year the amount of water leaking around the bulkhead (coming in around the bottom stair and all around the bulkhead casting) is getting progressively worse. This year it is particularly bad. We have a sump pump, however, are looking for a more permanent solution - we want to stop the water from coming in all together. Any sugggestions?

Bulkhead water problems are not something I would recommend that a homeowner take care of. I would recommend that you request an appointment right here online and we can schedule a free written estimate for you. Due to the severe nature of this storm (4-1-04) our office is very busy with phone calls. Requesting an appointment online is the fastest way to get something done.

At Pioneer Basement we are handling priority calls at this point. This includes water in the basement threating to put out heat or hot water tanks. Please bear with all of us and understand that unthreating leaks - we can take care of but only after all priority calls are handled. Thanks for your patience. SteveA
